Taria Avery fell in love...with her chocolate lab! She loved him so much she made him her namesake, he's simply "Avery." Avery quickly became a key member of the family, enjoying the best of everything, including road trips (in his personal seatbelt), country clubs, doggie daycares, play dates and spa treatments. However, after taking Avery to many groom shops, Taria quickly realized a higher level of care and professionalism was needed in the grooming industry.

She believed that since grooming is so essential to good health and wellness, it should be an enjoyable experience for the pet where each fur-kid is treated as an individual and catered to for their specific needs. And as a doting mother, anxiously waiting 6-8 hours for that phone call letting her know Avery was ready for pick up, Taria quickly realized the experience should be considerably less stressful and complicated for the pet parent. Thus, "Avery's Mobile Pet Spa" was born.

Taria Avery is a Certified Groomer and Owner of Avery’s Pet Styling Salon and Boutique. After earning her bachelor’s in international business and marketing from Drexel University and working in the corporate marketing and communications field for nearly thirteen years, Taria went on to pursue her passion for pets. An animal enthusiast and pet parent, Taria successfully earned her diploma as a Certified Groomer and Stylist from the Academy of Dog Grooming Arts in Arlington Heights, IL.

A true student of the art, Taria holds certification in many key areas including CPR for animals, nutrition, animal behavior, aromatherapy, and pet shampoo and conditioners. She is also active in several pet and professional organizations including the National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA), Professional Cat Groomers’ Association of America (PCGAA), American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Pennsylvania SPCA, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and Young Professionals Network.

Above all else, Taria is a pet parent too and treats your pets just like her own family. She is the proud mother of her chocolate lab Avery, and Tiger Lily, her cat.
